Is 6K Gold Real Gold?
Yes. 6K gold is made from 25% pure gold, blended with other safe, hypoallergenic metals to create jewellery that is strong, durable, and made to wear every day.
What is the difference between gold plated/vermeil, gold filled and solid gold?
We want you to understand exactly what you’re wearing:
- Gold Plated / Vermeil: A very thin layer of gold over a base metal. Over time, this wears off.
- Gold Filled: A thicker layer of gold bonded to a base metal. Wears over time.
- Solid Gold (like our 6K gold): Made entirely from a carefully crafted mix of pure gold and hypoallergenic natural alloys. Long-lasting, durable, and designed to be cherished for years.
Will my Quarter Carat jewellery fade after time?
No. Our 6K gold is its gold colour by nature, so it won’t rub off or wear away like plated or vermeil pieces.
Can I wear my Quarter Carat jewellery in water?
Yes, we get it. You want your jewellery to live with you. While we don’t recommend harsh chemicals or heavy wear, everyday life is safe. Like any fine jewellery, it wears with you. For a polished, scratch-free look, remove it for showers, swimming, or the gym. But if you want your pieces to be part of your everyday story, a little adventure won’t tarnish or compromise the integrity of your jewellery.
Will my Quarter Carat jewellery hold its shape?
Yes. Each piece is tried and tested. Our jewellery offers strength and structure while still being lightweight and comfortable.
Is Quarter Carat jewellery ethically sourced?
Yes. All our gold is responsibly sourced or recycled.
Every piece is designed in Melbourne and crafted by our trusted manufacturers with sustainability and integrity at the heart of everything we do.
We do not support child-labour gold. You can read more about our stance here.
How should I care for my gold pieces?
Solid gold is made to last, but even the best needs a little care to stay at its best.
- Store it gently – Keep pieces separate or in it's original box to avoid scratches from harder metals.
- Avoid harsh chemicals – Remove jewellery when doing hands-on activities, working out or going swimming.
- Clean occasionally – Soak your jewelry in warm soapy water, gently brush with a soft toothbrush, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
